Laguna Hills, Calif. (August 27, 2026) – OC Public Libraries (OCPL) is proud to present A Slice of Literary Orange, a series featuring keynote speakers throughout the year in celebration of literacy.
Tess Gerritsen is the award-winning and New York Times bestselling author of more than thirty books that have been published in forty countries and sold more than 40 million copies. Many of her novels have been top three bestsellers in the U.S. and #1 bestsellers abroad. The daughter of a Chinese immigrant and a Chinese American seafood chef, Tess Gerritsen grew up in San Diego and now lives in Maine. Her latest book, The Shadow Friends, is the third in the Martini Club series, which features a group of retired spies who solve mysteries using their espionage skills. The series is in development for TV with Amazon Studios.
