ORANGE COUNTY, California. (September 24, 2026) – OC Public Libraries is thrilled to announce its annual Spooky Month celebration this October, offering a frightfully fun lineup of programs for all ages across its branches. From haunted crafts and eerie author talks to spooky storytimes and seasonal activities, Spooky Month invites the community to embrace the season with creativity.
Highlights include an evening with author Olivie Blake at the Los Alamitos Rossmoor Library, where the New York Times bestselling writer will discuss her hit novels and meet readers. Campfire Ghost Stories at Aliso Viejo Library invites teens and tweens to gather for s’mores and spooky tales, while Spooky Cross Stitching for Adults at Tustin Library offers a cozy night of ghostly needlework. Special events also include Día de los Muertos celebrations at Ladera Ranch and Garden Grove Chapman Libraries, featuring crafts, cultural activities, and vibrant performances, as well as an Owl Visit at Library of the Canyons with a live bird of prey guest.
